Barrie weekend GO Train service pilot

This summer, we're running a pilot weekend train service along the Barrie line.

Every Saturday, Sunday and holiday between June 23 and September 3, we will run:

  • Six southbound train trips to Union Station. Two trips will depart Allandale Waterfront GO Station at 10:20 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; four trips will depart East Gwillimbury GO Station at 1:20 p.m., 4:12, 8:00 and 10:55*
  • Six northbound train trips will make all stops from Union Station. Two trips will depart at 5:25 p.m. and 12:10 a.m., making all stops to Allandale Waterfront; four trips will depart at 12:10 p.m., 3:01, 6:50 and 9:41, making all stops to East Gwillimbury*
  • Four new weekend GO Buses will meet trains at East Gwillimbury GO Station making all stops to and from the Barrie Bus Terminal.

Milton line extra weekday GO Train service

In an effort to make your GO experience more comfortable, we're running an additional train trip along the Milton line during morning and afternoon peak periods starting June 25. Some existing service will be adjusted, including two earlier departures in the morning.

The new and adjusted trips include:

  • The 6:48 a.m. train from Milton GO Station will now depart at 6:43, arriving at Union Station at 7:40.*
  • The 7:08 a.m. train from Milton GO Station will now depart at 7:03, arriving at Union Station at 8:02.*
  • One new morning trip will depart Milton GO Station at 7:13 a.m., making all stops to Union Station, arriving at 8:13 a.m.*
  • One new afternoon trip will depart Union Station at 4:00 p.m., making all stops to Milton GO Station, arriving at 4:58.*
  •  Milton GO Buses departing Union Station at 3:40 p.m. will be discontinued as passengers may now take the new 4:00 GO Train from Union Station, which will make all stops to Milton GO Station.*

Go summer in Niagara Niagara

Our 2012 seasonal excursion train service between Niagara Falls and Toronto is a great way to go away this summer.

In addition to our year-round bus service, passengers can take our weekend trains between Toronto and Niagara Falls starting Victoria Day weekend. The trains will stop at Union, Exhibition, Port Credit, Oakville, Burlington, St. Catharines and Niagara Falls stations. Our summer service to Niagara will start operating June 23 and run until September 3.

Saturday Schedule or Sunday Schedule means service on these days will run according to the Saturday or Sunday schedule specified in the timetable for each route. Please note that some GO Transit routes do not offer weekend service -- you should check your specific schedule for information about weekend service.
